Yes, I know about this E-book. This guide book is really good place for SEO newbies. In fact, I was learn many SEO basics from it when I was fresher in SEO. I am sure, it would be good and knowledgeable thing for them.

Its true that many people felt very bad with this new Google Panda Algorithm update. Some sites are really hitted badly. My site also suffer from it.

In the UK Googles own FREE Product Shopping offsets its major advertisers PAID adspends with them. In the back end of last year and this year because so many retailers on boarded with Googles Product
Shopping after their product pushes the sales ratio became out of keel for it major advertisers and Googles own Product shopping although was getting more traffic as it was better than ever had less sales per merchant (they also played with the rankings on GPS to the benefit of the big retailers).

Hence Panda is the same old Google dance just aimed at a select bunch. To be fair within that bunch many poor quality sites but also some great CSE's who had been serving the webusers for years.

If most other merchants in your vertical do not have Google Checkout, than your ads will be more prominent than their with the Google Checkout logo. It will lead to a higher click through rate.
